Pastor Ricky Simpson joined Evergreen Baptist Church in January 2016.  Ricky has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Christian Studies from Campbellsville University and a Master of Divinity Degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He loves preaching and teaching God's Word and helping people take the deep truths of Scripture and apply them to their lives.

 

Pastor Ricky is married to his beautiful wife, Michelle and they have four children, Isaac, Emma, Josiah and Micah. In his free time Pastor Ricky enjoys spending time with his family and cheering for his beloved Kentucky Wildcats, Cincinnati Reds, and Cincinnati Bengals.

Warren and his wife, Kim joined Evergreen in May 2016 serving as the youth minister.  He graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Ministries from Campbellsville University. Warren has a passion for teaching the Gospel to middle and high school students and strives to see them grow in their faith and walk with God.  He is currently pursuing his master's degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

 

Kim is also a graduate of Campbellsville University with a double major in History and Theater.  Warren and Kim were married in September 2013, and have spent their married life ministering to students.  They welcomed their first daughter in August 2022

Michelle officially joined the staff of Evergreen Baptist Church as the children's minister in April 2017. Michelle holds a master's degree in Counseling from Xavier University and has served in a number of different ministry capacities through Campus Crusade for Christ as well as in inner-city missions.  Her desire is to minister effectively to children and their families, teach core Biblical truths, reach families in our community with the good news of Jesus Christ, and to raise up Evergreen's next generation to walk faithfully with the Lord for life.

 

Michelle is married to Pastor Ricky, and they have four beautiful children Isaac, Emma, Josiah, and Micah.

Terry grew up in Lexington and is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and Southern Seminary.  It's Terry's hope for the worshiping church to experience the joy of song that Paul of speaks of this in Ephesians 5:18 "...Sing and make music in your heart for the Lord." 

 

Terry has a daughter, Alana Claire.

Judy has served as the Church Secretary since February 2013.  She is a retiree from VA Medical Center in Lexington, KY and worked at Crestwood Baptist Church as the Financial Secretary for 13 years.

 

Judy has two daughters and 4 grandchildren and has lived in Frankfort most of her life.

Kari has been the pianist at Evergreen Baptist Church since June 2012, and has been playing the piano for 31 years.  She works full-time as a special education teacher at Collins Lane Elementary School.

 

Kari has two wonderful children James and Rebekah. ​And feels blessed to work with a wonderful music minister each week and be surrounded by such a loving church family.
